airbag codes
Can anyone here tell me what airbag code 33 (3 flashes, pause, 3 flashes, repeat) relates to?
My car had been in a light front end wreck prior to me getting it. I have replaced both front airbags and the front crash sensor and still have this code. I have reset the SAS module by unplugging it for several minutes and still get the code/light immediately upon startup. I have verified that the airbags I installed are making good connection by unplugging them one by one and observing new codes pop up. Using this method, I have found a few of the other codes, perhaps these will help someone in the future: driver seat, 5-1 passenger seat, 5-2 passenger dash, 2-1 driver steering wheel, 1-9 front crash sensor, 4-2 And no, I dont want to 'take it to the dealer". I have no desire to spend hours waiting and pay hundreds of dollars for "diagnostics" to tell me what a simple code represents. I have access to pretty much any part I might need used (non wreck car) if I can just find out what to buy. If it comes down to it and I can't fix this simply, I guess a piece of black tape will go on the instrument cluster face. Any help is appreciated. |

HOLY SHIT MAN, THANK YOU!!
That is awesome. Now I know what to buy and replace without ripping the whole car up. I will save those pdf's along with the FSM that I have for future reference. Remind me the next batch of chrome rotors I put up for sale and I will give you one a little cheaper. :biggthump |
:) you are welcome!

front crash sensor, 4-2 I can probably generate a new set and attach them properly to the thread for future retrieval. Send me a pm reminder if I don’t get to it in the next several days. . |

Does anyone know if the codes related to say "drivers side" translate between LHD and RHD? I am assuming drivers side means drivers side not RHD drivers side but figured I would check.
Im getting the 22 with B1994 - Drivers side circuit resistance high. |
The codes posted above are from a USDM service manual, so this means LHD for drivers side. That’s all I can really tell you without ever seeing a manual for a RHD car.
