adding oil
i was just curious on to what is the "CORRECT" procedure to add oil when needed. (when correct, i mean like should i wait few minutes after turning it off b4 i pour the oil?)

I dont think it matters

make sure the engine is warm then shut if off and wait a couple of minutes before checking the level.
Add some wait a moment then check the level again. repeat until you have brought the oil to the full line always check the oil warm and engine off always check/fill tires "cold" i.e. not having been driven on in an hour or so. preferably overnight. |
Yes. A warm engine means the oil is warm and viscous so you get a more accurate reading of how much is in the engine. The air thing..thats pretty obvious if you ever taken a basic physics class...

many people have not taken a "basic physics course" or we would not have numerous threads everyautumn (or cold snap for that matter) stating " my TPMS light was on this morning but it went off one my way to work. whats wrong with it? i checked the pressures when i got to work and they were all fine."
