Added way too much oil, am i ok?
 

added way to much oil. car was only driven maybe a quarter of a mile the the store and back. i realized it added way to much and drained it back to the right amount. i looked at the MAF and it doesn't seem to be coated at all, but the intake piping it screws into has a slight residue of oil in it, and the air filter has a small amount in a few places. what do i need to do?

(brand new to rx8's, learning as i go)

wipe out the oil and carry on. Pay attention to your idle. If you find you're having issues, clean the maf and reset the ecu.

i was searching for all kinds of junk (to much oil, oil change,ect) it i got to one archived post on here but wasnt much info) thank for the link. mines not close to being that bad, his was sitting in oil, mines just lightly glazed

for now. Leave it and it can get that bad.

i took it all out and wiped it down and it wasnt bad at all. hopefully itll be ok. ill check it every once in a while
