ABS and DSC light came on
On the way home from work, I noticed that my ABS and DSC lights came on and stayed on for the duration of the journey. the car drove fine. Of course it was a warm day and the roads are dry. So I have no way to "test" both on public roads.
However after I shutdown @home and restarted it, those lights went away. I am curious as to what caused it. Fuse maybe? But this morning seems to indicate everything is normal (no lights). |
did you run out of battery recently? It happened to me when once when my battery was drained and i had to jump it.
|
If not due to disconnected battery - Is tire pressure the same all around and all 4 wheels/tires the same size?
|
I agree with No. 2. Anytime I had that problem was when there was a change in voltage. Twice when I jumped it, and when I changed the battery. Took it to the dealer and had them check the OBD with no issues. Have you thought of maybe getting your alternator checked? It could be a way of the car cutting power to "feel-good" systems rather than your ignition coils or something a bit more important. Of course, the last statement has NO WRITING BACKING IT UP. Just a thought I had.

I've not had the battery disconnected in a long while. No need for cable jump too. Actually I even used the A/C since it was rather hot. I will check the tire pressure. Although it was 32 psi all around when I checked about a week ago.

Well whatever it was its gone now. it will be hard to be determine what caused it now because you cant fix and see if it goes off. The next time i go to the dealer ill see what they say. Might be soon because i want to get my right tail light replaced due to condensation.
