2006 rx8 coolant ligth.
my rx8 has only 32k & the coolant ligth is showing some times .comes & goes.
the coolant level is fine ,no heating. everything looks normal.exept I went to the dealer & they toll me is the coolan sensor & will cost $500 to replaced. any advise what to do??? Thanks to every one of your recommandations. I allready unplug sensor couse I hate the ligth. I check coolant & oil level every 3 0r 4 weeks part of rx8 fun lol. I only drive my 8 on weekends for work I drive my little mx5 . |
I think the dealer had told you its the coolant sensor.
you can either replace it or ignore it. |
Jesus, another coolant light thread?
|
Advise, yes, search man, there are literally hundreds of answers to your question, all the same.
|
Isn't it still under warranty with those miles?
|
Unless it was a leftover bought during the '07 or later model year, it's probably beyond the four years. My '06's B-B expired in July.
The solution is to pull the plug and just check coolant the old fashioned way: look at the tank every now and then. Lots more convenient than the old-old fashioned way, which was to take the radiator cap off every now and then and look in the top tank. Ken |
It is 5 years on powertrain and my 06 bottle was just replaced under that.

I already told you yesterday to go to Finishlineperformance.com. That would be your best option and the install won't take long at all.
