04 RX-8 Switchblade key and and FOB where to get?
 

All,
I have looked throught the posts on here and it appears 04 RX-8 owners can replace there FOB and key combinations with a switchblade key setup. Some of the information I have found here seems dated or key purchase locations not valid anymore?

My questions are:

1.) Where can I buy the switchblade fob/key combo?
2.) What should I expect to pay for everything?
3.) I have both the original keys and fobs.
4.) What should be the total cost to get this done??

This isn't a DIY post, but here's my two cents anyway.

1. Dealer or eBay or the For Sale Parts section of this forum.
2. Dealer price for key and remote (http://www.finishlineperformance.com...ior_index.html). Other sources should be less.
3. OK, you should be able to program the key and remote yourself. Key must be cut.
4. Dealer: $180 for parts (discounted price), ~$100 to program and cut the key.

A lot of cash for a little bling.

I have a 2006 RX8 and I want to get rid of the Switchblade key due to the other alarm i installed, is there any way I can do that? If so, where to buy or what to get, I found some on e-bay stating that it's for 04+ but I'm very skeptical of it...
