Turbocharged AT

how fast can an AT 4 speed go from 0-60
after turbocharged or supercharged?
is it able to smoke the stock S2000?
because they seems like punks on the street.

How'd we get from a flash that seems to do nothing to street racing? It's all Swoope fault----he's encouraging it or is that incorrigible. Swoope, why don't you sell him your famous go fast chip? A person of his intelligence would be perfect for the sale.

Yes!

fiercewind 04-21-2008 09:30 PM

yes

wow someone is doing street racing? that is so uneccessary
aren't we here to discuss how to make our car faster?
how much intellegence does that required?

yes

msp-16

The ecu reflash is very good not nessesarly powerwise but i just had it done and did not notice anything different until after i put about 20 miles on the car then i noticed that the off the line acceleration is a little quicker and also the engine feels a lot smoother with very clean power delivery power gains is not much probably about 2-3 whp maybe 5. but overall a very good thing to get done and i reccomend any AT owner to get it.

BBQdDude 04-25-2008 01:18 PM

TO OP, I hear it takes a few drives for the flash to settle or lock in (not sure of the right terminology).

I have no mods stock AT 2004. I noticed a little smoother idle and a slight bit more pickup but not much.

Take care,

Brian

MPG and oil consumption

Also i have noticed that after the reflash the car is a little less thirsty i estimate an extra 2 mpg in the city 3 hwy, combined city and hwy driving today ive put a lil over 70 miles on the car and have only drained a quarter of a tank. Also the service manager at mazda told me to be sure and check your oil EVERY fill up because with the new upgrade the car burns more oil.

so honestly phillipchan if you are not noticing ANYTHING by now then you may have another problem with your car.

Dominicano 04-27-2008 02:17 PM

Guys sorry 2 bother you..but if i have an intake (KNV2) and i pull up to the dealer without taking it off...will they still service my car with the msp re-flash?? or will they automatically blame it on the intake for the lack of power..you know how dealers can be..Thanx for ur time.

invasion08 04-27-2008 02:44 PM

When they do the reflash they do not even lift the hood you will be alright

Dominicano 04-27-2008 10:12 PM

^^^ Oh thank god i didnt want them to be all like "well due to the aftermaket add-on's in your car we cant do it" or them tell me that the intake or exhaust had anything 2 do with it.

StacyT 05-08-2008 01:21 PM

I'm glad I found this thread.

I had taken my car to the dealer a few times complaining that the car seemed to lack the power it had when I 1st got it. Sometimes it would accellerate fine, and other times it seemed to hesitate. Every time they gave me the car back telling me it performed to spec.:banghead: My gas milesage actually went down as well, since I 1st got it. Even drove it easy, changed were I get my gas, and nothing seemed to help. Not to mention the idle seemed worse, even had a freind in the car one time mention that my car seemed to idle rough. Dealer said it was normal.

I took my car in last week after reading this. I called the dealer and they told me that it had just come out. Took the car in and what a difference. Smoother idle, better acceleration, and increased mileage.

My car is a stock 05 auto.

Don't count on that. They are supposed to place a tag on the hood lip showning the flash code and date. They have to rase the hood to do that.

Chances are that they did a plug replacement under another TSB and that was your problem.

StacyT 05-08-2008 05:34 PM

They didn't mention anything about doing the plugs. I was in and out in about an hour, including getting an oil change, and car washed. Not sure how long it would take to do the plugs.

Dominicano 05-10-2008 08:17 AM

I went it and got it done..the tech saw that i had an exhaust he said it looked nice and asked me the brand i also told hima bout the intake and he said it was cool. Took about an hour to get it done but you can tell the difference for sure. The dealer was ocean mazda in miami, so they didnt give me a hard time about my mods. I even saw a supercharged one they where working on, not sure what it was in for. So anyone with the basic bolt on mods can go ahead and take it in for the re-flash.

Maybe at your dealer - take it here and just a sticker on the window makes you ineligible for warranty (not quite that bad but close). Too bad that dealer in Florida is so far away.
