Specific Question Regarding AT Shift Kit

So, I searched and found that there isn't a shift kit available for the AT, is that correct? I'm looking to firm up my shifts and shorten the 'lag,' if you will.

Adding a shift kit to my previous car (grand prix) was simple and extremely cheap. I wanted to link you guys to the install guide to see if anything remotely close to this would work on the 8. I have no knowledge about our tranny and assume the answer is No, but this cheap mod went around the GP world mostly unknown for a few years before coming into the mainstream.

Anyway, what do you think?

I know of two now avaible market options and a third "in the works" option.

1.Level10 has a TQ, valve manifold and fluid pump upgrade option. It's expensive. around 4 grand.
2. Superior Transmission has a manifold pressure rise (# PR234) for around $100.
It's was originally built for the 3rdGen Rx-7. The 8's and 3rd Gen 7 are very close in design.
3. BHR is/was working on a AT trans option for us.

Talk to Chris at Rotary Performance. He said they know someone who has built a shift kit for their 4AT.

Yeah, I think he said the guy is in California somewhere. You should be able to use the contact info at rx7.com. Ask for Chris, tell him you are interested in talking to the guy that did the shift kit for his automatic trans RX-8.
