RB Exhaust vs HKS Legamax

Hello all, I have been browsing the forums but I haven't been able to find anything concrete on either the HKS or RB exhausts. I know that the power gains from an exhaust are minimal, so is the only difference between these two systems based on sound? Over at mazsport the HKS goes for $989, while the RB is significantly less at $655.

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

yeah sound and weight are the only differences. the racing beat exhaust isnt light and i think it weighs more than the stock exhaust but it also is probably the most mellow of aftermarket exhausts. the hks will be louder but lighter

this thread helps:

Thanks N, that thread helped plenty. I hadn't even considered the B&B system, though I wonder if their horsepower claims are legitimate.

legamax is 2.5" exhaust, i donno about the rb.

i made 270 whp with the stock greddy turbo and the 3" borla exhaust, and I made 307 whp when i upgraded to the gt3071r turbo and went to the 2.5" legamax.

not a good test, but my numbers still went up, so while I don't know how much the smaller exhaust hampered me (if any), I had the same 2.5" catless midpipe both times so it might not matter unless both are replaced.

either way, on NA setup, exhaust isn't going to help enough to matter. So go for what sounds good to you.
