AT idle ~

Got a quick question for AT users.

Which gear do you guys usually put on during idle/stop light?
N or leave it at M?

I used to leave it at M, but recently I started to put it at N for smoother idle.
I'm not a technical person, so I don't know how it'll effect engine or tranny, just want to get an idea of people's driving habit.

Cheers~

i usually leave in it m unless its really hot outside then the car tends to heat up a bit more when in m mode...never heard of putting it in

If you are having bad vibration issues, it may be that the motor mounts need replacing. The Right Side motor mount usually fails first. It's failure is caused by close proxemity to the hot exhaust header.

it's not going to effect the motor or tranny either which way. In N or D/M at a stop.

Already replaced my motor mount once under the warranty.
Next time it'll be out of my own pocket....:sweatdrop
Heard people using idemitsu premix to smooth out the rough idle, planning to do that next time.

If you do that, read up on the Sea-foam thread first.

Put a grounding kit on the car it will smooth out your idle!!

after putting in the BHR ignition kit my idle was much smoother.

threw in a new battery too and it was flat.

Got a ground kit already, but there is just one spot I can't get to (big/fat hand), the plate that coils mounted on.....I'm noob....:spank:
And yes, definitely BHR ignition system, next thing on my list.
