Help with suspension info
I want to upgrade from my stock suspension to something better and with this being my first car worth modding I'm confused on what to look for

Talk to Brice over at Fluid Motorsports he has good deals and can oufit you with the info and products you want.
If you do not plan on bringing your car to the track i would not get coilovers waste of money IMO The basic suspension mods are Springs Shocks Anti sway bars and endlinks. |
also better strut tower bars.
the Mazdaspeed front strut tower bar even has a master cylinder brace built in. it makes your brake pedal feel much firmer. |
DarkPoison: I guess the appropriate question would be - what are you looking for? Many people lower their car however people have different reasons and taste.
What are you aiming to achieve in upgrading the suspension? I would assume you would like to upgrade it in regards to handles but how much would you like to adjust it by? Would you like to stay close to an OEM feel or would you want something more track? There are several threads in relation to different spring/shock setups and coilovers. Also, how much were you looking to spend? And how much adjustability would you like? If you don't mind fine tuning, I would suggest saving up some money and getting coilovers - or if you're like me who doesn't have time to be nit-picky about tuning - then get some decent springs and adjustable shocks. |
Atilla is right. It pretty much comes down to what you want, like, and most importantly are willing or able to spend.
Just let us know what your expectations are and what kind of funds you are working with. |
Another tip for your first time is to be patient and not to rush anything. I have made lots of regrets in the past and still have a bad habit of making a mistake from time to time.

I'm looking to have a some stiffness I take two different bridges one to work an another one back home I noticed that my steering was loose i want it to be a little stiff so the road won't throw my over lane. as far as money goes I'll spent 3-4 grand on the whole set up

3-4 is quite a nice budget!
with that budget, i'd go with everything said + some nice lightweight wheels and better rubber. |
Don't get me wrong I'm willing to spend up to 3-4 g's but if I don't have to I'll invest in other parts or my second 8
