rebuilds are not all alike. If you replace just what's broken, it will naturally be cheaper. I spent around 3k in parts alone.

true info no need to rebuild until its neccessary, I installed my Pettit SC with 76K on it, it now has 82K and when it goes I plan on goin with a Mazmart(Rick Engman) rebuild... But like others said if you do it yourself you can bring the cost in comfortably under $3k...

Do any one know any shop that is not just rebuild engine, but also make them better. What I mean is maybe better seal or polish or something....more F/I capability?
|
yeah you need to do some research on Rick Engman,,,

Any competent shop with rotary engine experience should be able to port and perform upgrades while building the motor. There are several options for apex seals and things like oil and coolant passage modifications can help increase the longevity of the motor. I would not advise putting forced induction on a motor with high miles. If you do blow the motor, there will be more damage done and the cost of the rebuild will be more expensive that rebuilding before breaking a seal.
