Combo pulleys?

Anybody ever combo the Agency Power pulley with the Greddy lightened pulleys? Just curious, nothing turned up in searches about it.

Dood. I was thinking about doing that same set up... I will let ya know how it works.. I have the Agency power pully now but with the others stock.. But i will let ya know..

Cool, I'm not much into underdriving my accessory pulleys, but curious if the belt that comes with the AP pulley will work equally as well on the Greddy pulley's and if it causes any wierdness in idling or such.

From what I was looking at in the MT Threads you can't. Its one or the other with them.

if the diameter of the greddy alt pulley and water pump are the same as stock it would work but why bother ? Bling factor only ....

tajabaho1 Aug 29, 2007 03:07 AM

......no, ull fck up ur car, ........no
although, unorthodox pulley and agency main pulley= good combo
but my AC sucked after that, so returned the AP

well then what do you do if you want to change all three pulleys??......the agency powered brings only one pulley what about the other 2???.....does that mean you have to keep the other 2 stock???

Less rotational mass is all, might work easier with the underdriven crank pulley. Not really a performance gain, more of a reliability gain? My thinking is that if you're reducing the size and rotational mass of one pulley, and not the others, one will be trying to spin faster than the others? And I thought maybe with the lightened Greddy pulleys, it might be easier for the underdriven pulley to work? I have no clue, just guesstimating.

the gain from less rotational mass from water pump & alt pulleys would be so small that it would not be worth it . The only real gain is from underdriving and even that is small (2-3 hp)
BTW - when you fit underdrive to main drive pulley you are slowing down the alt and water pump .

i got a buddy that did that same setup. he seems to like it.

Hasn't encountered any problems with the setup?

WreakLoosE Aug 29, 2007 05:11 PM

Ive heard people complaine about the AP pully and less AC coolneess.. I have not noticed any problems.. I live in CA and have my AC on all the time... Stays nice and cold for me.. As for the Greddy Pully, THey are the same size as the OE pully so there should not be any reason they would conflict with the AP pully.

I've never believed that underdrive pulleys give any sort of hp gain, unless you're talking big block V8's. I'm looking for short term fun & faster revs until the Cobb unit comes out.

To tell you the truth, I'd just like a lightened main pulley as well. Also, speaking of combos, I wonder what the AP pulley and the ARC water pump underdrive pulley or water pump overdrive pulley would be like?

well i got trust pully with ap pully it works perfectly fine offcource you get the increse. in water temp from ap pulley but other then that it all good working perfectly fine

Well, you could go with Unortho Racing Ultra SS series. That's three pulleys and only the crank is under-driven. I don't think it's as much as the AP pulley however, but I could be wrong. This is sadly really only a bling thing. I have the three UR pullies in a box as they just came in yesterday.

I have the much maligned SR motorsports pulleys. I noticed absolutely no difference after installing them, but it's impossible to "feel" the 1-2 horsepower they free up. One of those "feel" good mods.

If I had it to do over again, I would just get the Agency Power underdrive crank pulley. People seem to get good results with it.

I already had the AP pulley but just installed this alt pulley tonight. The weight of the new pulley feels like 1/3 the wieght of the stock pulley. One thing I did notice is my volt meter now reads 14.8 where it read 14.4 with the stock alt pulley. Went for a short ride but not sure if the slight improvement in acceleration was due to the new pulley or the cool temps.....upper 40's.
