Clutchless Transmission
Any of you guys have any knowledge of clutchless transmissions? I did the search but didnt really find much except people talking about it in 04.... Just wondering if anyone knows a company or anything that makes them. I was thinking about looking into doing it to my AT...
I know it will be a crap ton of money, but I see it as a way to have my baby be manual while still saving my knee from the shifting madness that is Southern California Traffic |
All transmissions have clutches. Automatic cars just have a centrifugal force clutch which engages when you release the break. What you're asking is not really possible so just use the paddle shifter or get a manual. I live in OC and drive a stick. Its not that bad, and im a lazy stoner. Nothing could be worse than traffic on the 5 during rush hour.

I also live in Orange County and that traffic is what I am talking about. I have an extremely bad left knee which would make shifting a large hassle. It locks up even when I drive my AT. So I was just wondering if anyone had possibly done so on their ATs or if have any knowledge on what I am asking about. But thank you for your input Blazed. |

The only thing that comes close to what i think your looking for is 5zigen twin mode clutch system. An they don't make it for the rx8. An the cars they do make it for u still have a clutch but its on a button on the shift knob. So u don't have to use your leg to push the clutch
