Can Auto8 install LSD?
I was wonder if Auto8 does it have LSD or just only a manual thing? I wonder if a Auto8 can also turn into a drift project.

Depending on the model it might have LSD already. The base models are the only one's that don't have LSD I think. Drifting it is another story, I don't know, you have no clutch control so it makes it difficult but it probably could be done to an extent. it just doesn't have enough power to get the wheels spinning unless you get the tires wet or have boost in some way.

Depends on the trim level on whether it has it or not. The base does not have it, and I don't remember what trim it started at. The GT definitely has it.

well than can i install one?
i wonder if some one can answer my other thread about the rear brake too. |
I would think it could be installed unless the rear differential is different from the other models in some way other than not having LSD. I'm not too sure though.

The rear pumpkin is swapable and the LSD started at the "sport" model. You can get the tires spinning by incressing the stiffness of the rear sway and less grippy tires.

Thanks again 09Factor for you knowledge, so i can just buy a LSD and put it in with out doing any mod right?
|
Check with mazmart to make sure (and buy it from them). I think there might be something slightly different about the diff for the AT. I thought Paul said they had to use an AT diff when they built my new one for me.

thx bro! i probably ask him when i am ready to install that, for now i just want to focus install turbo, and just an hour ago some fool hit my car errrr...
|
I'm interested in the LSD. I'm still reading up the differences between the two. What type of diff is on the stock car? Is it considered an open diff?
Is a LSD always better in all cases? Still reading up on these units. |

Lol you dont even have to read about it to know that... Honestly guys think about it... Hmm lets rev it up and drop it in gear... this isnt a Manual... the 8's transmission is already fragile let alone the auto's. Id be suprised if you didnt have the tranny in your lap the first or second time...

wow a neutral drop!? honestly, who taught you how to drive? My A/T 8 sometimes can spin out and there has been the occasional drift on a turn...got to love that ability to press the T/C button, slap it into 2nd and floor it and feel the car slide on out a turn. mmmmmm
