Any1 here rich enough to try 20B?

I was wondering will it be better using 20b than use turbo, because its safer for the AT tranny and better throttle response no turbo lag and lots of power. and use Cobb to adjust the CPU

angeljoelv 07-28-2008 11:04 PM

No crazy people here to spend that much money on a 20B swap.......

N rider89 07-29-2008 03:03 AM

^lol

20b is a great thing but its not cheap for most people because there is a lot of custom stuff and there are a lot of other things that need to be done with it.

XDEEDUBBX 07-29-2008 04:16 AM

he made it sound so easy and cheap..hahah

PBlue 07-29-2008 06:12 AM

you just loosen two 10mm bolts, pull out your engine (yes by hand, its only 1.3L) and then lower in the new 20b. Tighten bolts, and off you go. 5 mins... MAX.

XDEEDUBBX 07-29-2008 07:28 AM

I can do it with a toothpick and a flathead...with one eye closed..

Just pour in a large bag of doritos into your intake. Insta-32520B.... May vary on amount of doritos per bag.

so educate an infant, I always here people refering to the motors by different number/letter combinations. Where would someone learn the different designations?

Oh, and I am crazy enough to try just about anything that would be a fun project and who's results make the effort worth it.

Well then welcome to the crazy club..

tajabaho1 08-05-2008 06:56 PM

you know, it's really easy to make a 20B, all you have to do is study, but not quite hard enough, for most of your highschool days

Well I know the number has to do with displacement. The 20B 3 rotor, 13B series and RENESIS all have rotors that displace 654cc each I believe? Thus two rotor engines have 2x654cc = roughly 1300cc. The 20B has 3 rotors, 654x3 is a bit under 2000cc. The 26B has 4 rotors which must be roughly 600cc each. See the pattern?

ok,

lets get this correct. you are claiming 20b with turbo with auto.

on an rx8??? which auto?

btw, would it be different if it was a big sector of maryland??? :)

first though would be pfsupercars. but they have had issues lately..

after that please give us some info.. because this is not a diy project, unless you have lots of friends in pr! :)

black with red 08-18-2008 02:03 AM

There is more than one Pf Supercar and I heard about there big problem a while back ,if your speaking that car that was recked. Did not happen up this way. I have heard of no real problems as far as there works concern plus Ray has been working on my Rx8 doing small mod for over a year with no problems.

black with red 08-18-2008 02:07 AM

Also i'm not claiming to have a 20b in the work, it's a fact. I have some footage but i just don't know how to down load it at the moment but i will play around and get some video as soon as i figure it out. Engine is already in the car fab work for the turbo is what step there on now.
