Who's the best???

To buy a turbo from? I am piecing together a turbo kit. I have the PTP turbo manifold already which I am 99% sure it's a T4 flange. I already know (for the most part) which one I want I'm not asking for you to deciede which one. My problem has been finding a reputable dealer who can get me a turbo in a timely fashion.

BTW, I want a 3071 or 76. with as small as possible hot side like a .63 or .72, cause I will be running a 44mm external wastegate. With a v-band outlet on the turbine. And 4-inch inlet and 2.5 inch outlet on the compressor wheel.

Who do you buy your turbos from?

Thanks.

look here and Talk to Turblown. I know he can get just about whatever turbo setup yould would want.

haha I have even read your build thread, I just didn't think to ask him. Thanks.

I think you have a few issues in this post:
1. The 3071 or 76 are both T3 turbines. If you have a T4 flange, you have a problem and will need to break out the welder or pay a fabricator.
2. For either of those turbos, a 44mm wastegate is probably overkill.
3. The PTP manifold is setup for a 38mm wastegate, or did you make a special request?
4. Your turbine AR choices are really really small, imo.

I don't know how much power you want, but the placement of the turbo on that manifold allows you to run a turbo that can flow way more air than either of your turbo choices.

I'm still learning, and I have found I may need to rework the manifold a bit, I just want to be happily over 300 whp. I want the small a/r for the spool and the 44mm ewg to divert the flow, it should be able to flow as much as a larger turbine with spool characteristics of a smaller one. If I'm way off let me know cause I'm trying to learn as much as possible. Thanks.

Smaller a/rs in my experience only help getting from positive pressure to full boost faster. Bigger turbine a/rs come into positive pressure sooner, but are slower to full boost. Acts like a lever. A wastegate can never circumvent enough flow to compensate for too small of a turbine housing. If that was case we would all run twin 60mms with 0.1 turbine housings.

I emailed you back too...

This is why you can never believe the first thing your told, thanks for the schooling. I got it and sent you another.
