^^^ nice

edoloman24 10-18-2011 02:53 AM

it says it fits rx8

laythor 10-18-2011 03:23 AM

people would lie on ebay? heaven forbid

and it doesnt say it will fit the rx8, it "can" fit the rx8

what it does say is

For the most part, the only components that need to be purchased or made are the manifold, downpipe, and silicone reducers
so, basically, the things you would need to even attach it to your car. you'd be buying a questionable snail, IC, waste gate, couplers, clamps, etc and still have no way of attaching them to your car.

This is why people spend 5k+ on a turbo kit.

well if you take the time to read his feedback you will see

the pattern for first 8 feedbacks

Didnt fit at all. Waste of money and time. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing to keep in mind is what i like to call "the lazy price point"

This is the point at where enough of the population will spend money on an item without doing enough research, because they're lazy. A few years ago this was up to about 1900 dollars but with the current economy it's down to about 850.

A typical person will now spend up to, but not over, around 900 dollars before they actually do hard research on what they're buying and from whom. If you look at "bargain" items in this range you'll see where I'm coming from. Check out bargain gaming PC's from no name builders, bargain washer and dryer combos from big box retailers, etc etc etc.

People who prey on the lazieness of others know how much they can charge and still sell enough of their items to make a profit. You can combat this by taking your time, doing the research leg work, and making an informed purchase.

DAMNIT! You mean I could have been selling the AP for $900?!?

True, but I suspect doing this will weed out the shoppers who do due diligence and the seller ends up with lazy customers that want service service service service...

dynamho 10-19-2011 11:05 AM

That eBay ad scares me and makes me wince - natural reaction to something so impossibly cheap. I can feel the compressor blades flaking off into the motor - crunch crunch crunch; the "silicone" tubes melting...

no, because people would have to do research ahead of time to even realize that the AP is something that would be a benefit to them
