supercharger vs turbo

whats the difference between these two price, power, sound, etc.?

-the current turbos (greddy) promise a 60hp increase, what would that mean with our 8's 0-60, 1/4 mile times?

And by the way i heard a rumor about a twinturbo, is it true?

60whp would give the RX-8 about 240-250 at the wheels. Given the car weight and a good driver that should equate to 1/4 mile times of 13.3-13.5

supercharger will cost a bit more. turbo will produce more power. supercharger gives constant power, turbos need to spool up.

Given that our rx-8 need revs to create power, I personal prefer the turbo route.

superchargers are a little more reliable...(most of the time)

Lol.. 5,000,000 points if you hit him, but don't run over his shoes ;)

Seriously though, veilsidev1, this forum is notorious for getting on people who post without searching first. Don't want to bust your stones, just don't want to see you get flamed too bad ;)

Not sure why there would be a twin turbo option. People are already worried about this engines durability with a single turbo setup. Usually the reason you have a twin turbo setup is that one turbo can not supply as much power as the engine can take. The other is a faster spool up from smaller twin turbos (but you trade off high end power), but with this engine's 60 hp limitation the only thing a twin turbo setup would do is add price & complexity.
