Porting templates

Are there any porting templates available for sale yet? If yes, where the heck can I get some? :D

What kind of porting is it? Bridge? Street? ...and what kind of gains have you seen?
The thing is I wll port the engine AFTER the turbo is installed

not that i've heard of....i wonder if you can use a template from anouth 13b...probable not since our ports are so much bigger to begin with:(

Personally I cant see any reason to port the air inlet port since its already about 25% bigger than on the 13b... And from the pics Ive seen its not much space available to port anyway.
My biggest interest is among the exhaustports... since IŽll be running a TC and 3" exhaustsystem

Bingo! That's the setup.

The intake ports can be cleaned up a little but don't worry about their physicaly size. You don't need to make the exhaust ports much larger to make them flow better. You don't have much room to make them larger anyways. While others may make the port larger until it cuts into the water jacket and then weld them up, I am personally against this idea. The problem with the port isn't it's port timing which is what is being affected by making them larger. The problem is with port flow. You can greatly increase the exhuast port flow without significantly making the ports larger. You make them very slightly larger but most of the attention is inside the runners getting a smooth port window to runner transition. Most of this can't be shown with a template. I'm not a fan of templates as there is far more to porting than just making the port larger.

Sounds interesting... Nice to see you share my thought on the intake/exhaust ports. We have couple of rotary-gods here in Sweden, and IŽll see what they say about the setup as well. But since there is so little information and experience about porting the renesis I would like to see some templates or pics of already existing ports.

fred is right on the money, but i will prove the bp once the tuning issues are solved :D

but the bp doesn't greatly increase the port size--THAT part is all about intake timing.
