Mazsport Turbo
ok guys, i have read last time that the turbo that mazsport use in their kit is T67, is it true? where can we get it from?
does anybody know where i can get the turbo only? do you guys think i can fit different kind of turbo in the set up? by the way, it is type 1, so it's lower mount... any information would be appreciated steven |
Horsepowerfreaks.com. Turbos only section under Garret. Hope this helps

that's the T04R/T67. The ballbearing version is the T04Z. |
Scott told me $1500 for his turbo. Wonder if he really had over 30% markup (more than that since atp doesn't sell at cost).
|
^damn..
|
if he was using a ball bearing T04Z that is a good price.
|
i have a unit right here, is there any identifiable marks cast into it?
|
Look near the compressor outlet...there used to be a number cast there....you might see remnants under the ceramic coating :)
|
if it's an 84mm exducer compressor wheel it is just a regular old Garrett T04R. If it's smaller than that, around 79(?)mm exducer, it is a Greddy T67 aka TD06-25G

sounds like you know what it is, why make everyone guess?
Cause I said I wouldn't...and to me my word means something :) The closest flow map would be a T04Z.... |

The closest flow map would be a T04Z.... And I can't actually find a flow map for a T04Z/T04R. Do you have one? And there are plenty of knockoff T04R's, like this one from ebay: http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...g?t=1234193012 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Super...Q5fAccessories I'm not familiar with the Mazsport kit, but you do realize that a genuine T04R/T04Z/T67 turbos have been proven to do 550+rwhp on rotaries (around 25psi)? I'd be a bit surprised if the turbo really is that big for a motor that doesn't like much more than 10psi. Does it have a 4" compressor inlet and a T4 turbine flange (would not bolt to a Greddy turbo manifold) ? |
I assure you the Mazsport turbo was not a Chinese knockoff.

Pull the compressor housing off and measure the wheel. It is probably a T04R/T04Z like we've been saying.
|
I remember when mazsport was selling these, they called them a T4 on their website or like was mentioned, T67
