Slow progress, but it's coming together slowly. Mostly tack welds holding things together until I'm sure everything will fit. Front runner is complete. Rear runner requires final piece to join runner to engine flange. Centre runner to be completed.

That's looking great ...but you are going to want to pull your engine apart for mods to make it work properly .

hey everyone, i have a 08 rx8 , i want to take my flywheel to engineering so that they can make it lightweight for me.. does anyone have engineering specs for me..and i want to know if i need to change or adjust any counter weights , do i need to light weight the front weight and with how much ? i need engineering specs plz..

^wrong thread. Just buy an aftermarket lightweight flywheel and appropriate counter weight.

I hear ya. I'm not likely to pull the current motor until required, though I may rebuild the spare one once this project is complete.

Did you ever get a template or photo of your porting job? Would be great to have the details documented.

Didn't get a pic of it but it wasn't anything special . Just ported the side exhaust ports (not the siamese) as much as possible without hitting the water gallery .
