Sorry for the newbie Questions.

The FIRST thing I tell new RX-8 owners to do is to enroll in a driving class or join NASA and begin to partake in their HPDE events(or SCCA's version of the same things). With this, you will learn just how capable the RX-8 is in stock trim and you'll learn to make full use of it. After that, you can start to look into power-adding but here's the thing; the RX-8 doesn't really offer that much room for improvement until you get serious with the mods. By serious, I mean beyond simple bolt-ons. The simplest I can think of that might be worth 8-10 h.p.(if that) would be a catless midpipe. Lightweight flywheels are cool too with a little more power than that added to the wheels(message to the math geeks; I don't wanna argue numbers in front of the new guy. The bottom line is that light flys are worth it.). I have tried swapping my Rotary Extreme "intake" and my stock intake box back and forth and I don't see any change except the factory unit is much quieter. The RE intake is essentially the same as most others in that it is just a different filter element and a different lookin' box. The only time I use it now is for "show" purposes. People like shiny stuff. At the races I use the factory box to retain that "sleeper" angle.

I would suggest you keep the factory box and, instead, consider a light fly and catless midpipe for now(if more power is what you want). You can get a cat-back system, too, if ya want.

If your not going to go Forced Induction, why not tint it, slam it, and get some new shoes.

It's a waste of money because the stock airbox is well designed enough that no aftermarket unit really does much better. Lots of people end up spending ~$300 or so on an intake and see minuscule power gains.

So what's the best thing to do first? That's debatable. The most bang-for-the-buck is nitrous, but I wouldn't say that's the best thing to do first, especially for someone inexperienced. I strongly recommend reading and learning more about your car before you drop any money into it.

Oh ok.. Now what my Problem is that i live in utah and there aint any Speed shops here lol

Just keep the stock air box. I think on the Racing Beat website there is info about removing the baffles in the air box and one of the MAF sensor screens. This is worth about 1 hp, which is probably equal to what that Weapon R would get you!

I have a drop in style K&N filter. Some debate about he usefulness of such filter, but if you don't over oil the thing it will work fine.

The air box mods, screen removal and filter swap will cost you less than $50.

why don't you drive it for a while see what its capable off, where it needs improvement and go from there?
