Rotary_SE3P Turbo build

Figured I’d post some info on my greddy turbo rx8 build the struggles, the happiness, the why the f$&@ did I buy this stupid car and so on.

Engine
-JPR Imports built and street-ported with E&J apex seals and other necessary supporting mods

Turbo kit
-Greddy turbo kit with necessary fixes
-BNR 60-1 turbo upgrade
-HKS ssqv bov
-Aem cai mod
-Frost bite fb604 intercooler (First impressions this intercooler is the best sized at 24x9x3 bar and plate design and have driven hard in 90deg heat with coolant temps at 195. The upgraded intercooler is good up to 580whp)

Fuel
-DW200 fuel pump
-yellow/uncapped yellow/uncapped yellow

Engine management
-Adaptronic select with Cobb

Transmission
-RX8 jdm 5 speed swap (Can confirm box is the exact same as the fd3s)
-ACT 6 puck clutch
-ACT lightweight flywheel

Misc modifications
-Koyo radiator
-BHR d585 coil upgrade
-NGK R6725 10.5&11.5 heat
-Full turboxs exhaust
-Stance xr1 coilovers
-Progress tech sway bars

Will continue to update this after dyno day with hopes to make 350-375whp at 14/15psi.

p.s a drug addiction would’ve been cheaper

the RX8 5-spd. transmission is based off the FD trans and similar, but not the “same”. There is a lot of info posted here on the forum for searching, but in summary the RX8 has improvements; main housing is the same, but different bell and tail housing. RX8 has triple-cone synchros 1st - 3rd (same as RX8 6-spd) and some other internal improvements. You could put an FD gearset in the RX8 version. EUDM version has a different 3rd and/or 5th gear ratio than the JDM version depending on S1 vs S2 model year

Edit: Both versions are designated R15M-D, but the appropriate SE3P/RX8 service manuals show the RX8 differences.
