Thanks. I probably should have said, I was after the latency table as used in the rx8 pcm. I was provided with similar format of figures to you, and we're still working on where in the latency table these should be used, and what the other values at different pressures should be E.g. should the provided dead times populate the 0kpa column, the 102kpa column or possibly even a new 204kpa column.

FYI, below are the figures I was provided (quite similar to yours), measured on the flow bench at nzefi.com where I picked up my injectors from. So my figures were done at 3bar, which in theory is the flow rate that an rx8 would see at 1 bar of boost, where the pressure differential between the rx8 fuel rail (4bar), less the LIM pressure (1bar) = differential pressure of 3 bar.

Results measured using fuel pressure of 3bar. Injector flow at rated pressure - 906cc/min
Volts = Dead Time (microseconds)
10 = 1689
11 = 1444
12 = 1245
13 = 1100
14 = 989
15 = 887

Sounds like you have it sorted, but if you have any fuel leaks from the injectors after installation (it pays to check after driving for a few days), try re-seating them with some suitable grease. That lesson was a bitch to learn.

I have had several friends get into scary situations with injectors leaking. I used all new mazda factory seals and lines with an extra zip tie around the clips. The injectors were checked and double checked under pressure. I have been sucking a bit too much exhaust fumes and will head back to the garage later this afternoon to double check. I have some tweaking to do on the boost controler settings.

I wish I had better audio on the cell phone. That wategate is loud.I would describe it as crunchy. All the perceived engine noise in the video is the wastegate.

It builds boost half as strong as it did before I hooked the controller up. Its nice having the AFR and PSI boost limit thresholds built into one control unit available to me on the dash.

Do you have the AEM failsafe ? Been on the fence abut getting one .

I haven't spent a ton of time with it yet. So far it seems effective. I chose it over the AEM as adaptronic recommends innovate products and i have been a fan for awhile now.

(hmmm just looked at the AEM it has some fetures i like over the innovate such as the no free air calibration and not having to rely on a serial port for programing)

Hoss, what scaling are you using on your Bosch injectors? I'm sitting on 1050, but still dialling it in.

I have one (the specific one from innovate), it does not work. I have been in contact with both innovate and adaptronic recently. it seems some revisions were made with SCG-1 output data. For the moment programing the gauge via laptop is out. Also serial wideband data output to the Adaptronic (the preferred method) is also out. After further discussion with adaptronic they are actually really excited about innovates new products and will be implementing them all for the second quarter of the year.

They also helped me with a work around for the time being. I will run the analog output of the gauge to a spare input that was not disclosed in the user manual.

I don't use injector scaling with the adaptronic. But it would be worth it to ask here. https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tec...lation-242789/

So ..... we should hold off on getting this gauge fore the meantime ?

Man i love driving this car.

So question for you guys. I went in between my boost control methods. The first being the Adaptronic. I didn't like it and disconnected. The synchronic wastegate allegedly has built in settings for boost control so i was "fine". While while the solenoid was disconnected from the adaptronic the car spooled so quick it was crazy and dangerous. Shortly after that i reconnected the solenoid to the built in boost control on the boost control/afr unit. The car no longer spools crazy fast like it did. However i am comforted by the over boost and AFR cuts that work fantastically. what are your thoughts on how i can get that spool back?

Did you inadvertently change the WG preload setting or put the boost signal into the same port on the WG for all boost control setups?

What mechanical spring pressure are you running on the WG?

That SCG-1 looks like the business.

Have you got any plans for a knock based boost cut? Seems like that's the only thing missing from your setup

When I changed it I actually fixed how the solenoid is set up. I had it set up for an internal wastegate turbo.

At the moment I have the WG spring pressure and hose connections setup for a mechanical 13 PSI.

It spooled like crazy when I had things incorrect. It seems "normal" now. I miss the spool.

While knock is important to a rotary it's not an easy thing and i'm fine with just AFR and Boost cuts. The adaptronic actually has input for headphones to listen for knock.

Won't the boost cut feature cut boost back to the level of the mech spring? May be better to swap out the 13psi spring for a much weaker one and bump the boost back up using the SCG1 controller. You should be able to dial in some nice spool using this method. My GFB controller increases spool when I increase either or both duty cycle and gain, so I'd guess this would also work for you. You should be able to get that crazy spool back again, assuming it wasn't over-boosting at the time.

For comparison Brett has about a 4 pound mech spring with good results.

Shouldn't the boost controler increase spool. Maybe you had a leak that was causing the extra fast spool and possible over boost. Now you fixed it. Also a 4 port solenoid.

The reason your spool was good was because something about the way you had it setup meant that your WG was being forced shut . To get that back again in a more controlled fashion you need to adjust the "start boost" setting . This is the setting that keeps the WG shut right up until just before you hit target boost.

As JB mentioned , I run a 4psi spring and have great boost control by using a 4 port valve . I really don't think that starting off with a 13psi spring is a good idea . Kinda tempting fate big time . I actually ask people to fit the smallest spring possible to start off with as that allows you to more accurately dial in the tune before increasing boost.
Maybe I missed something about how you got to 12psi so quick ??
