help with difference btw nos?
Hey... can someone explain the difference between the wet and dry nos?

Wet nitrous kits add fuel so you won't have to upgrade injectors, dry nitrous does not add fuel and the higher up you go with the shot you'll have to upgrade your fuel injectors.

Wet NOS, adds Fuel injectors in the Intake stream, I believe, and injects NOS and Fuel into the Intake. The NOS, lowers the temp of the air and thus compresses it, allowing for essentially more air into the system. And of course this requires more fuel, at some point. The more NOS, the more fuel required. At some point you can have detonation inside your combustion chamber, which is bad, so you have to add more fuel to lower the temp, and allow for more expansion without explosion.

In general the dry systems are simply nitrous injected into the intake system, while the wet system uses both fuel & nitrous injected into the system simultaneously. You usually hear that to about 50 hp using the dry systems is OK (although I think in our case Charles had little issue with 50-60 hp, but started getting detonation with the 70 hp jet). When you get forced induction (turbo/SC) or you go higher than 75 hp the wet systems work better. At least that was the basic explanation on the NOS (the actual company's) website on it's working with a 4 cyl. engine. Dry systems tend to be less complicated to install, while wet systems are more complicated. Usually, not always.
