To quote the link provided "The unit will cut the power to the ignition coils"
Doesn't say it will also cut fuel. What happens to the un-burnt fuel?? For a rotary that might not be a good thing.

Not for me

My 2 cents:

Kind of a dumb mod. It's not like it's all that hard to actuate the accelerator properly on a shift. If all you're doing is drag racing I guess it might be worth while, but if that's the case then you should have bought a different car... probably one with an automatic trans and a stall converter if you find this mod compelling.

This product basically guarantees clutch slippage. Once you start to disengage the clutch the engine will start producing power= massive clutch slip.

Of course you could just dump the clutch, but that would hurt your drivetrain. Then again nothing in drag racing is "good" for the drivetrain.

I agree, this car isn't a drag car, so meh.

as they said..

"screw the clutch"

chickenwafer 09-15-2008 12:53 AM

Yeah, I'm not so much a big fan of dropping $300 to $400 bucks every couple of months, and swapping the clutch isn't too much fun, either.

eh it was worth the hype
