Compressor Upgrades for Greddy turbo - 18G vs 57trim vs H-3 vs GT3076 vs 60-1

This map is of some of the possible Greddy upgrade options all superimposed onto the same map . Took a lot of time as had to rescale all the maps and sketch by hand (as you can tell).

I'm with Brett s on this one. My research on the turbine wheel pretty much ends with the same conclusion. The 11blade wheel will have better spool up. The downside(which we probably won't reach) is that when pushing for maximum power at the end of this turbo's effiency range the 12blade will reign supreme, although just marginally. In other words, the 11blade with a clip is the way to go :) |
How does these compare with a GT35 wheel in original housing? Would be interesting to compare. I know it should be similar to the 60-1.

the GT35 does better at higher boost but not as well lower down . Can plot it if you like ?

Yeah I have seen a few BNR's in person, they have all varied to some degree, mostly with the CHRA and the way the coolant fitting are situated. The pictures of the one I posted are the latest, as that turbo was done only a few months back.

I did research and spoke with multiple people on the subject. look into Subaru forums, fp performance (one of the companies BNR sources parts through), and AMS. SUBARU crowd loves the 60-1 with 11blade. some report 400+awhp on 20+ psi

Putting the 3582 in was difficult .... It pretty much matches the 60-1 all the way to 20psi. Was not sure how to treat the cutoff lines on the chart .

Thanks for plotting that Brett, interesting to see how close the 60-1 and GT35 are through the 6-20 psi range. Looks like the 60-1 is slightly better down low and the GT35 is better after 20psi, which is way past where I would blow the engine to bits.
