I had some parts and an idea , I tested it and gave honest results........................ the end.

More to come on this in the coming months ... Had given up on this build, but I had another idea that may just rescue it from oblivion. Am busy getting this ready to try out.
It's going to be a lot of work as engine has to come out (among other things).

imo you aren’t going to get much more than has already been demonstrated on the best dyno graphs without an intake manifold redesign.

Not sure if that post put the thought into my subconscious, but anyway ..... this is where I'm focusing my efforts.

TeamRX8 04-04-2023 03:47 PM

I was just getting settled in, make up your mind already …

I just told you what I'm doing ........ so I've made up my mind.
But if that pic is how you see yourself then it doesn't differ too much from what I'd imagined.

let’s not make a mountain out of it, not that I was either … :suspect:

I'm sure that will come later ....no matter what the result....

TeamRX8 04-05-2023 04:29 AM

you misinterpret everything

Here’s the solution for everyone’s issue; none of you have to ever see another thing I ever post unless somebody else reply copies it.

spectre6000 04-05-2023 10:38 AM

Or you could just stop being a self-righteous (personal attack removed) That's an even better solution. Much better.

TeamRX8 04-05-2023 09:12 PM

why would I equate someone responding that way to be on my level?

I’d propose that it’s only people like yourself who are proclaiming me to be righteous rather than myself. Because you clearly hang on my every word even more than you complain about my every word. To the point that even suggesting for people to block me out, and completely ignore anything I post, only infuriates you even more. What does it really say?

Yet if I was self righteous then why would I suggest that people who either can’t control their emotions or give me even the slightest benefit of doubt to block me out? You don’t even have the eye to see or the ear to hear that the very words you posted above only demonstrate yourself to be the very thing you accuse me of. Who else but someone matching those words would post them?

I’d further suggest that it’s not me who has you in such derision. If I possess any righteousness at all then it’s not my own, and in so professing openly admit to not possessing any on my own. There’s no ill will or intention in my replies last night.

I hadn’t even been back to this thread since that previous reply many days or weeks before, nor read any of the comments that came after, just happened to see his chill out comment and only attempted to be mildly humorous in my responses. Nothing more. Which if you were paying any attention at all beyond looking for any excuse to have a total meltdown over nothing, it was me he was responding directly to in bumping the thread.

Again, you misinterpret everything even more than you blame me for everything. There’s no need to be self righteous with someone who doesn’t even understand that it takes two to tango. The very thing defines itself for all to be witness of on their own accord.

Gentlemen.

Let's keep the personal attacks to zero.

Thanks

Travis

Brettus 04-06-2023 03:37 PM

Wasn' me :suspect: ........................................ for a change :p:

Williard 04-10-2023 06:21 PM

Perhaps my comment wasn't direct enough.

Last I checked, this thread was about Brettus NA build. Unless, of course, it has changed.. No? K.

So, we can stay on topic, stop cluttering the threads with pointless arguements and snide remarks OR, we can take a vacation altogether.

Clear enough?

Great!

also awaiting moar Brettus updates. Nothing against Team, but all that can be hashed out privately, meanwhile we can all enjoy reading aboot the N/A power projex.

Brettus 06-08-2023 11:58 AM

Have got the parts ready to install but been working on another project for the last month which means this one is on the backburner.

TeamRX8 06-08-2023 05:11 PM

I have my doubts, but actually hope it pans out if/when you get back to it.

the one thing I’ll add is that you have to look at the Renesis as a fully engineered package all centered around the no intake/exhaust overlap timing concept. Which is highly intake-tuning dependent because again; there is no exhaust tuning without overlap timing. That’s why Mazda poured so much effort and engineering flow analysis cost into designing the intake assembly and port positions/timing. When you start messing with that it can easily result in a negative impact rather than positive.

Or in the case of adding overlap timing, you’re looking at a major engineering redesign of the entire package. That’s pretty much what most people are either still not understanding and/or are refusing to accept. That’s why I dumped the entire hybrid idea many years ago. Unless you’re going to make new plates that reposition and eliminate ports with new properly tuned intake and exhaust systems then the chances of making any substantial gains are likely near zero.

but again, I wish you well to prove otherwise if possible.
