Um, double and triple check any gas line fittings before starting, after starting, after driving and again the next day

I converted my gas line to a -6 AN from the firewall to the fuel rails, I do not like any plastic gas line.

I know this thread is pretty specific to the ZEX kit, but would the possibility of popping apart one's intake be reduced by manually controlling the nitrous flow? That way one can cut the nitrous before letting off of the throttle. It makes sense to me.

Furthermore, this thread has taken most of the mystery of out nitrous, so I want to thank Al and Charles for putting so much effort into it. The only thing that could have made it better is functioning pictures...

Seems like nitrous might be right for me & mine.

Yeah sorry about the pictures they are irrecoverable because the web server I had them on imploded.

Manually controlling nitrous flow would require discipline. I think, properly used, the nitrous module will always be a better option compared to our limited attention span and slow reaction time.

I also can't believe this was more then 2 years ago!

I can see your point, I've seen guys blow their intakes apart manually controlling nitrous, too. Perhaps I have too much confidence in myself.

Dont sweat the pictures, I'm sure there are pics around from other peoples installs and if I do this, I'm going straight through BHR because they have such great support. I have a couple of other upgrades that are going to happen first, and A LOT more reading, but thanks for giving me a good starting block. There are a lot more 8'ers with nitrous than I had thought, and thats a comforting thing to know.

New here, as you can see by my post count, but not new to rotaries (three RX-7s) and nitrous(spraying for 20 years). I saw somewhere that the secondary and tertiary injectors are far below their duty cycle values. How much hp/torque can the injectors support at 80% and 100% duty cycle. Can the factory fuel pump handle that much flow? I have always been a big fan of dry shots and letting the factory injectors take car of extra fuel.

You should consider a dry set-up. Really easy to set-up. Not a big fan of wet set-ups, because most intakes are not designed to distribute fuel properly. Based on what I read on here, seems like some people have had some puddling issues. Also, for some reason, the fuel solenoids are notorious for failing. I guess you could fix this with a Hobbs pressure switch. Most cars run about 20% rich with WOT to keep the cats safe. I am thinking with 93 octane, you could get away with a 40hp shot of nitrous without touching anything. I was surprised how little HP people were getting with the BHR kit. Seems like it was too rich. Don't forget that HP is just part of the story. The real fun is torque! 40HP shot should yield around 40 ft/lb if you have enough fuel. That is a 25% jump in torque!
