How much?

VarneyMazda 04-06-2006 01:00 PM

Im confused, what ones to i need. the intake ones?

TeamRX8 04-06-2006 01:14 PM

I don't know either, those are the items and their part numbers, somebody else will need to verify which set are the proper ones, just doing what I can to try and help you ... :dunno:

MadDog 04-06-2006 01:17 PM

It must be N3H2-13-250. The first ones are common to both the MT and AT. The third ones are only for the MT. The second ones are AT specific - which by deduction has to be the 490cc ones.

TeamRX8 04-06-2006 01:22 PM

ok, I figured it out from this thread:

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-major-horsepower-upgrades-93/better-fuel-management-using-emanage-80806/#post1201471

you need the #2 injectors, Part No. N3H2-13-250

my cost is $123 each through Mazda Motorsports, you'll pay approx. 15% more through the discount dealers

edit: we came to the same conclusion :)

Fanman 04-06-2006 01:31 PM

I got mine over at www.mazdatrix.com, the part # is : 13-2500-N3H2 (So it looks like the N3H2 are right.

And they are BLUE in color, others are yellow.

BigOLundh 04-06-2006 05:13 PM

so the injectors on the auto rx-8s have higher capacity then the ones on the manual?
Seems like a very cheap mod to get more fuel in.

TeamRX8 04-06-2006 05:22 PM

only two secondary injectors @ 490cc each on the four port auto vs four secondary injectors @ 390cc for the 6 port

BigOLundh 04-06-2006 06:23 PM

but from the looks of this thread we can fit the 490cc injectors into the MTs where the 390cc ones went before... yes/no?

Fanman 04-06-2006 07:40 PM

Yes. The injectors are interchangeable

Check out maddog's thread on his injector relocation/rewire. He even has posted a zip file with a map ready to use (emanage only, Int-x need to tune your own (I think.))

Seconary 490cc

High power (manual)

TeamRX8 04-06-2006 10:44 PM

siemans 60# 4/$234 :)

anyone wanna go halfies?

carbonRX8 04-07-2006 05:42 AM

is that the right part (13-2500-N3H2 )? And are you saying 4 for the price of $234?

carbonRX8 04-07-2006 05:48 AM

Also 60lbs per hour seems a little higher than 490cc. Tho that was a quick conversion. I got 666cc/min.

Roughly 60#/hour*1h/60min*1gal/6#*4L/1gal*1000cc/L=666cc/min I realize that there are not 4L/gal, but I cant remember the conversion.

TeamRX8 04-08-2006 03:57 AM

3.78L/gal

6.25#/gal

carbonRX8 04-08-2006 09:56 AM

Thanks. So those Siemens that guitar posted are 600cc injectors.

guitarjunkie28 04-19-2006 11:45 AM

60# x what is it, 10.5? = ~630cc or so.

whatever...they're pretty large ( at least for you 8 guys;) )

carbonRX8 04-19-2006 05:32 PM

But do they fit??? And how did you figure it out?

brillo 04-20-2006 09:58 PM

Any chance you could smooth the idle out by placing the AT primarys in the MT since they are larger? I'm thinking it might run a little richer which would help smooth things out. Any idea how the stock computer might handle that? I'm sure it would try to adjust for the extra fuel, but I wonder how much it can do by adjusting the duty cycle.

guitarjunkie28 04-20-2006 10:50 PM

just d/c your o2 sensor at idle and it'll default rich.
