What is that? An inline 4 cylinder? Wait a minute! Did you put one of them Mazdaspeed 3 motors in an RX8? Thats awesome!!! What, like, 263hp? I guess it'll be pretty fast. |

Dude, I really hope you're kidding. You are right?
It's a neat project, but I don't see what the big deal is. People are freaking out like this is "AMAZING", "I'm not worthy", "wow just wow", "awesome", "I can't wait" and crapping themselves in diapers. |
it's a big deal because we love the rotary; it is a rotary powered car forum after all

so ray's doing this one? that was my first thought for my 3 rotor but he moved away. where is he now? last i heard was arizona. when i go back to cali, hopefully i can keep him busy for a long time :)
btw, how did crispeed make your upper intake manifold? looks like nicely shaped sheet metal but i have no idea how he did that. just wondering what he used, so i can do the same for mine. |

Ray from PF Supercars is building his engine.

Making a 4 rotor motor is a big deal. Try adding a few cylinders to your motor and then start a thread showing the build.

I just jizzed...

Meh... I always fall behind... I just started my 3-rotor project and I find this... :D Very nice! On RX7club at first I thought the first pics were just housings & plates together, I didn't see the bolts and from seing 3-rotors how it's not evenly spaced I thought it was a teaser, but WOW! It *IS* REAL!!! Very impressive! |

Just curious, if you already had the motor rebuilt, why new rotors? Was it an NA build, then you decided to go turbo, so you got low compression rotors?
|
how do you feel about getting rid of the ppf?
i was pondering the same as i want to run 2x pipes to my rear and 1 charge pipe to the front (from the rear) |

The motor was never put together.:nono: Always being a turbo project, we used a mock engine to do all the fab work.
Just in case, I found a pic of a 26B, make sure you have the right plates or you will have to modify your intake & exhaust manifold to match after you put it together. http://www.mulsannescorner.com/Mazda-MF1.jpg Never mind! I found the pics of your inner plates & the shaft you're using, looks like it's designed that way, a tiny bit longer than the one I posted. https://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i...ROTORSHAFT.jpg Attachment 265239 Attachment 265240 |
wow this think is insane, hurry up and finish :)
