268 Rwhp!
Just Got my baby Dynoed, Mods= Greddy Turbo,Rp Midpipe,Racingbeat Lightened Flywheel, Additional Walbro fuel pump, and fuel press regulator, Borla Catback, Racingbeat Ingnition wires.
first pull= 263 rwhp @ 7.7 pnds of boost 2nd pull= 268 rwhp @ 7.7 pnds of boost no detonation, no problems If ya ask me Im Pretty Happy with those results lol i will post dyno sheets as soon as i get my computer back. |
fantastic. Very Very nice. :)
|
very nice results. I would be happy too. Now come on and post those dyno sheets. Curious to see what the AFR's were like.
Congrats! |
wow! very impressive. so how much has all those parts added up to cost you? with and without installation (if you didn't install yourself). lol i am very jealous but also proud :)
|
Great numbers!
I'm using walbro 255 wich one you're using? Thanks, Manuel |
Manuel :
Those are great news, have you test the 1/4 mile with your gtech now? Let me know when you are going to test it in the Manati racetrack. |
So his engine makes like 340 horses to the crank now (20% loss -- 270whp)? Thats like a damn M3

I hate you! :)
|
thats great i can't wait any longer to get my kit especially after seeing all of the numbers getting posted. Good luck with it.
Congrats :D |
Man that must feel like a rocket.

Sounds like the best Dyno pull so far 268 rwhp , what would the normal HP FIGURE BE WITHOUT THE drivetrain loss 20 / 30%???
cheers michael |
probably around 330 at crank. I think the midpipe made the most difference in this case.
|
The RP mid rocks ;)
Nice news - we are gonna shake up all the forums now - sweet |
Wow, nice! :D
So, hmmm... lets say Mazda's 238 BHP number is correct (possible, but...) Anyway, taking an average of RWHP people have dyno'd at, say, 185 WHP, that's a 22% drivetrain loss. So... 268 WHP + 22% = ~327 BHP. Not too shabby, I'd say! :D Also sounds like the other mods (HF cat, Borla, flywheel, etc) are starting to really make a difference with a turbo'd car. 268 WHP - 240 WHP dyno I've seen so far for the Greddy = 28 WHP gain from those. Sweet! Makes me wonder what the SSR kit at 285 WHP plus these mods'll do. 285+28=313 WHP, +22% = ~382 BHP! :D |
Any info about torque results?
|
Omi - thats the 400 you wanted :)
|
It mustbe the midpipe that is making the big difference b/c John has a catback and flywheel on his too but no midpipe.
|
I'm confused a walbro? I thought the rx8 didn't have a return, how are you dealing with the added pressure?
|
wowsers....those numbers are hot! Hurry up and post your dyno sheet!!
|
Im also using a walbro 255, My mechanics are the best SMOKINJOERACING.NET aka J&R Performance, the midpipe made a huge dif, the car is completely catless (Basicly runnin a straight pipe) the mipipe made boost raise from 5.3 to 7.7. She BREATHIN BETTER BOYS. that cat crap holds her back, the only problem was without the extra fuel pressure she was detonating in the high gears, but no more, my mechanic controls the walbro seperatly some how,but im dyin to post these sheets.STILL STALLING WITH THIS BOV Thats my only prob, n by the way traction no longer excists haha, Thank god i just got Sponsored soo hopefully i got some rubber.
|
Oh, you have the Bonez catless midpipe - same as Charles. Where are you located?
|
Long Island N.Y
Yep its the Bonez |
We also installed the same Walbro 255 and now we don't have detonation in the dyno
in 4 gear. It's a great modification that would help to get more HP in the future........... Manuel |
these makes me soo happy. im still deciding wut im going to save up for. some other doors gotta open for some choices
