XM through your Sirius Factory Radio
Not sure if anyone has seen this before, but stumbled on it while surfing. Not a bad option.

nice find, but mazda is not on the compatibility list..

why would you want to replace Sirius with XM anyway? Sirius is the superior company :)

I've done a lot of research and that TERK XM Direct reciever does not work with Mazda's HU.
Both Sirius and XM have similar programming. XM just has better coverage because of more terrestrial repeaters. |
Having listened extensively to both... I prefer Sirius. B/c of the programming. I didn't notice a significant difference in coverage, but then I didn't do too many cross country drives.

i can send picks if you like.. beers  |
I have Sirius hooked up through my Kenwood HU and love it. I have no need to bash XM and would strongly consider it if/when I move to San Diego and want to listen to Red Sox broadcasts. One of the reasons I stick with Sirius other than its quality is the fact I bought a lifetime subscription before they stopped offering them. :)

Sirius still offers lifetime subscriptions for $500.

I didn't care for him when he was on terrestrial, and how many fart jokes do you REALLY want to hear? I mean, he is OVER. And he's not even funny. XM has four comedy networks with tons of material that is far better. Most people chose satellite for the music. And since both services have fairly similar music lineups, it's really a tossup between two very competitive operations. NASCAR is dull enough watching it. I dont know how people get off LISTENING to a car race. |

XM has BPM channel 81. there is nothing close to it on Sirius. So I pay my 14bux a month for that one channel and comedy when stuck in traffic.
