XCarLink with A2DP Wireless Bluetooth for Music?
 

Hi All,

I keep seeing posts that wireless music over bluetooth is supported on some version of XCarLink. Where is this version for sale? I checked the RPM Store but their site just says bluetooth for phone calls...

It does music too via A2DP bluetooth.

Can the phone be controlled via steering wheel? Can you change song via bluetooth?

Apparently wolf50000 has the bluetooth kit and he wasn't able to use the steering wheel control. When connected through ipod cable, the steering wheel controls work just fine.

I spent a good portion of a day installing the XCarLink with Bluetooth adapter in my RX-8. I was disappointed to find that there is considerable background noise with this unit (not engine related as it was off). Also, the steering wheel and head unit controls did not work either.

I bought this one which is supposed to be the newest XCarLink, someone please correct me if I'm wrong as the one from therpmstore.com looks different. http://www.chelebao.com/product_show.asp?product_ID=298

I've searched and it appears that I'm not the only one who has the background noise problem.
