xbox media center with touch screen
 

call me crazy, but this would be the ultimate setup...

replace the dvd navigation center screen with a touch screen, add the modded xbox (smartxx), the PIE system, and voila! you have a dvd/mp3 center with touch screen all built in!

would this work? is it possible?

I think it's been partially done - at least the xbox part.

i've been doing some research and i see that people have hooked their xbox into their monitors, but i wonder if this could be done with a touch screen.

anybody seen this? or know of how?

touchscreen and xbox maybe you can get it to work if you run Linux but with the current programs I seriously doubt it

Ditto. Xbox and touchscreen are not likely to work. Touchscreen will require you to run Windows or Linux or write your own drivers. The interface for the touchscreen with be iether USB or Serial port. So if the Xbox can't recognize UPnP on the USB port and doesn't have a serial port... you are SOL. Sorry. The xbox is a hard deal to beat on price, but if this kinda system is what you want, you should just build a carPC.

I got the Clarion N.I.C.E. system, touchscreen all that and a bag of friggin chips this thing is. Anyway you touch the "video icon" and it switches to the video "xbox" input. you bees playin then friend.
