Hey,

I am wanting to hardwire my GPS and police scanner into my car. I already have Sirius hardwired into the cig lighter. Is tapping into this wire two more times too much? Any other nearby locations I can tap into?

I think the Cig lighter is good for about 10 amps

You SHOULD be fine but it might be time to start thinking about a direct line from the battery or maybe the fuse box

 

Yeah I think I will go through the fuse box for the police scanner just in case. Have any idea which fuse I can tap?
