Where does the front tweeters split off?
Where does the front L/R output from the harness get split off to midrange / tweeter? The harness only has a L/R output, but no separate tweeter output. So it must get split somewhere.
Also.. does a crossover exist when it is split? I'm so confused.:Eyecrazy: |
Inside the door panel. There is a unit with similar shape and size to an aftermarket component crossover.

Even in the non-bose unit? I didn't see it. =/

Didn't know you were referring to a non-Bose 8. I can only guess the same spot. I would edit your original post to include the non-Bose information.

I have (had) Bose, but I know for a fact the front door speaker & front tweeter are wired in parallel straight from the HU. I imagine if you take off the door panel and check the wiring, it will be obvious.

Makes it simple if they're wired in strait parallel. Maybe the stock HU setup has no sort of crossover whatsoever for the front doors. That works. I herd some car companies put a in-line capacitor as a simple crossover.
