What Size Amp to Run Subs with Stock Bose system
 

I have a 2004 Touring model with the amped Bose system and Id like to have a decent bit of more bass but nothing crazy. I want to run it with the stock bose system because that is plenty loud enough and sounds fine to me. I do want more bass but nothing crazy. Sonwith that it mind how many watts shoukd i be looking for in a 2 channel amp and will onen10" sub be enough or 2 10" would be better? Also what is the name of the part that i need to buy to hook up the amps rcas to the stock bose amp and where at onnthenbose ampndoes it get connectrd?

Run a line from the speaker terminals on one rear window 'sub'.

Input that to a Bass Shaker Pro amp and mount the two tactile transducers under each front seat.

I actually have read some stickys and even did some searches. I did find some info on the wiring question but alot of it was hard to follow because of people having 8 differents conversations in one thread so I was hoping id get a straight forward answer here without going crazy trying to find it in someone elses threads.

Center of the first post. A simple non-powered LOC is all you need if you're just adding subs. And don't under-estimate the Bazooka tube. I think that's a simple, clean, all-in-one solution for you.

I actually thought about a bazooka tube because it would be ideal for me being preamped and the size it is wont take up too much room but I dont know enough about them nowadays. When I first started driving and was into aftermarket stereo stufff it was around 1990 and bazooka wasnt such a great name back then. If they have improved that would be a great solition. Any particular model you suggest i look at?

wiring kit should be fine. I realize Boss is not a quality name. I realize that their 8awg wire is probably more like 10awg. But it's plenty for just the Bazooka tube, which pulls 15 amps MAX. It's cheap and effective. Includes everything you need. If for some odd reason you refuse to buy that one, Knukonceptz makes outstanding wires for pretty cheap.

And you can try using the high-level inputs on it. Just tap off one of the rear speakers and run it to the Bazooka's high-level inputs. Easy install. Light weight. Effective. Quick un-install.

I'm running a 10" radio shack sub inside an old 1990s box powered by a Rockford Fosgate Prime R-125-2 40W x 2 Car Amplifier in single channel low pass cross over mode.

More than enough thump for this old man. Powered by the bose amp's power lead and tapped into the rear speakers line level inputs running into it.

I got 2 12" massives runnin with a Rockfords amp 1000 watts special edition 4 channels with cross over and hits hard as hell!!!!!
