What is "PhatNoise Car Audio System" ?
i found "PhatNoise Car Audio System" from mazda official web site..
is it different audio? |
PhatNoise is a company that makes car MP3 players.
Their system consists of a trunk-mounted console and a removable cartridge that contains a hard drive (10, 20, 40gig etc.) The system works with a software program that allows you to create libraries of all your MP3 files on your home PC. The cartridge is placed on a craddle connected to your PC and the libraries with your MP3's are transfered to it. The cartridge is then placed back in the console in the trunk of your car and the MP3's can be played through your stereo. The HU recognizes the PhatNoise as an external CD changer. They say that one 10gig cartridge can hold upwards of 2500 songs. |
Phatnoise is the sound I make upon awaking from slumber

so my question is....does anyone know if the Phatnoise will be able to be added on to the 2004? I know that the 05 headunit has a sat input...is it a different unit all together???

I have a Kenwood 901 Sirius receiver mounted in the trunk with a FM Modulater mounted behind the glove box and added a Kenwood 10GB MusicKeg(Phatnoise) DMS unit which the Kenwood sees as a CD Changer. Other than hardwired into the circuit board or with the Alpine add on there aren't a lot of options. You can rip wma and wav as well as mp3 to the cartridge.
