VOLTAGE STABILIZER for my carPC.

I'm looking to stabilize the current in my car since I am putting in a carPC. Has anybody used any voltage stabilizers and if so any recommendations? The one i'm checking out is below:

the only way you're going to stabilize your voltage sufficient to consistently supply 12V to a device such as a computer is to run it through a regulated power supply that is capable of not only smoothing out voltage spikes, but providing a constant 12V output.

A voltage stabilizer, I know as I have one similar to what you posted, will not provide what you're looking for.

An inverter or full blown PSU such as a carnetix power supply is what you should be looking for.

Hope this helps,
Shell

Although I REALLY like the P2140's, I've had now 2 fail on me in other carPC installs that I have done. Since this install is for myself, I was kinda hoping to go away from the P2140 due to the failure rate I have had with them.
