I was finally able to finish up my system this weekend. I built the box for the sub myself and am very happy with the way it came out. I'll post some better pics when I get a chance.


The system consists of:
12" Kicker Solo-Baric L7
JBL 600.1GTO Amp.
Capacitor

 

looks cool... a little too center-stage for me, but it's def original... how's it sounds? whats the sub enclosure made of?

 

It sounds really good, just enough bass.
It's made of MDF and then wrapped in vinyl.

 

ive seen alot of people go with one large sub and aim it at the roof of the trunk. i have a 13w7 and am trying everyway possible to face it out the back. is there any reason you guys have them firing straight up?

 

Basically for me I have been trying to figure out what I have wanted to do with my 12" boston G5 but the space needed is so large that the only place you can fit them is right there where the trunk drops. I might build a cutom box and have it facing out the back with a "hidden" box. I will make it so I have a flat piece that connects the wheel well spaces in the trunk so that it just looks like that trunk space just behind the seat isn't present. My dad did it that way in his STi and I like it, very subtle and makes sure you have trunk space to work with if you live out of your trunk like I did before I bought the 8.
