Steering controls and HVAC lights
 

So I have searched every where, called the manufacturers and even swapped parts. I installed a pioneer deck in my 2004 and while I can get the radio to function properly, the oem radio display with the time and what not works, I can not get the hvac or steering wheel control lights to work. Also, the steering controls do not work. I have tried the pac and the axxess boxes and get the same result. Everything worked fine before with the oem radio, but I can't get everything working now. I'm not sure what else to try. Currently I am using the aswc-1 box and it just gives me a red/green flashing led. I'm thinking the metra box may be the light issue, but I am not sure about the steering control issue. Any ideas??:scratchhe

So an update...
I got a new metra kit and swapped the box, nothing powers up. The radio, lcd, hvac, steering wheel lighting, and ever power mirrors aren't working. So I put the original box back in, nothing. I checked every fuse I can find that is related and even swapped them to be sure, no joy. I have no idea what else to check. Surely someone on here has some insight. Again, I have searched everywhere for answers. I get a weird high pitched buzzing sound from under the hood now that I never noticed before.

What was the issue?

That high pitch buzz is the throttle body (thats what I've been told)
