My stereo is on (i.e. radio, playing a CD, Ipod) and all the illumination lights and displays work for the sound system. However, the sound will cut out. Sometimes its for a few minutes and even up to a full day. I replaced all the fuses for the audio system inside the car and the audio system fuse under the hood. Any ideas?

 

My sound is gone. I have a Bose system, everything functions, just no sound from the speakers. Most info I could was from here

For bose systems, tap on the door panel to the side of the door speakers. There's a Bose amp in each door and the relay is prone to fail. If you tap it and the sound comes in and out, then it's likely a loose connection or the relays are going out. Search for bose door amp or the like and there are part numbers and everything available for the issue. I can't believe I've been living with this issue for over a year, but then again I got a new car in december. I decided to fix mine since I'll be selling the RX8 soon and want everything to be perfect when I do.
