Sparco Ring Steering Wheel
1 Attachment(s)
I finally managed to switch my stock wheel with a Sparco Ring. The hub adapter came from japanparts.com, and fitted perfectly, including the circuit that cancelled the airbag light. Now I have a better feel, as it's thicker and way smaller than the original. God, how I hated that volume control buttons !

looks nice, would look nice with red leather if i put a red one in my 8...may have to try it

Was there much involved in doing the install? Did you have to disarm the drivers Airbag? Best GW JapanpartsLLC |

Hello Mr Graham, The install was extremelly smooth, you couldn't tell the difference between the original parts and the hub you provided. All the parts went just in place, including the elctronic circuit that cancelled the airbag light. Regarding the driver's airbag, now it rests in my garage along with the OEM steering wheel. I hope there will be no need for it in the future. Thanks for your business and I look forward to order more items from you.

You disabled the drivers airbag?!?!
Yeah.....let's hope you don't need it anytime in the future. Let's hope you don't do a face plant into that nice new steering wheel if you get into an accident. Dude.....sorry.....I was going to withhold comment that I wasn't a fan of that steering wheel. No biggie. To each his own. But to risk your life by removing the airbag, just for a steering wheel that is isn't even an upgrade (IMO)? Not smart. |

looks good. not my choice of wheel, but if i did a steering wheel swap, id have to go with a quick release hub. anytime you do a mod like that, people like to steal it. No steering wheel, no drive off haha :)

what hub adaptor was it available that you have? looking for a cheap hub to go with an momo wheel i have laying around that came off of the miata.
pictures and price if available, thanks. You'll need the "With Airbag" option, because this contains the Airbag-delete loom Not compromising your safety, :) but just so you know OffRoad use ONLY All liability for use is with the End-User ( = You ) Best GW JapanpartsLLC Japanparts |
thanks JP... thats definitely going on my wish list.

Here are a few pics. Looks to me like I've got everything off and it should pull right off with some effort of course but it's not wanting to budge. See anything that might interfere?
