Sparco Ring Steering Wheel

1 Attachment(s)
I finally managed to switch my stock wheel with a Sparco Ring. The hub adapter came from japanparts.com, and fitted perfectly, including the circuit that cancelled the airbag light. Now I have a better feel, as it's thicker and way smaller than the original. God, how I hated that volume control buttons !

Looking Good! Thanks for your order, and welcome back anytime!

Was there much involved in doing the install? Did you have to disarm the drivers Airbag?

Trust me man, black is the best you can get. Too much red would make your interior look like... there's to much red in it. :yesnod:

Hello Mr Graham,

The install was extremelly smooth, you couldn't tell the difference between the original parts and the hub you provided. All the parts went just in place, including the elctronic circuit that cancelled the airbag light.

Regarding the driver's airbag, now it rests in my garage along with the OEM steering wheel. I hope there will be no need for it in the future.

Thanks for your business and I look forward to order more items from you.

You disabled the drivers airbag?!?!

Yeah.....let's hope you don't need it anytime in the future.

Let's hope you don't do a face plant into that nice new steering wheel if you get into an accident.

Dude.....sorry.....I was going to withhold comment that I wasn't a fan of that steering wheel. No biggie. To each his own.

But to risk your life by removing the airbag, just for a steering wheel that is isn't even an upgrade (IMO)? Not smart.

Let's put it another way. You risk your life every time you leave your home. You're not safe even there. You are right, it's not a smart move to remove something that could save your life, it's just that I hope for the best and try not to think about bad things. Regarding your opinion about not being an upgrade, I can tell you there is a big difference between the stock wheel and this one. (IMO, of course  )

bump

Blackout04RX 08-27-2008 02:39 AM

looks good. not my choice of wheel, but if i did a steering wheel swap, id have to go with a quick release hub. anytime you do a mod like that, people like to steal it. No steering wheel, no drive off haha :)

Then go for a 35 centimeters diameter. The stock wheel is 35.5.

IIRC; this was the DAIKEI Links through DAIKEI, click on the word

You'll need the "With Airbag" option, because this contains the Airbag-delete loom

Not compromising your safety, :) but just so you know

OffRoad use ONLY
All liability for use is with the End-User ( = You )

Cool thanks Mino. As I said in my PM I'll get on it when I get the quick release hub.

Here are a few pics. Looks to me like I've got everything off and it should pull right off with some effort of course but it's not wanting to budge. See anything that might interfere?

Nope. No interference. I pulled by the 12 o clock simultaneously pushing the 6, then I reversed. I applied some effort, but it came off...
