post 2006s are dull plan silver whereas post 2006s are much more depth and shine with a top coat. post 2006s are ferromagnetic. On the back the post 2006s are Chrome coted whereas per 2006s are Black.
Good catch, I swapped the 2006 + center A/C vents into my 2004 for the chrome bit. I think the instrument bezel also has this shinier finish. Want to get my hands on the OEM trim ring accessories but also don't want to pay 70 bucks for two tiny pieces of aluminum...
They have some Iron in their coating as they attracted to the magnet.
I also notice the instrument bezel and A/C controllers. waiting to get hands-on a pair cheap.
The side vents might be the same with Mazda 6 or others.
Finally, I manage to pick the whole face of post-2006 for free, as part of another deal!
Only need to change the bezel, all interchangeable, I keep the whole face as spare if a bottom gets scratch.
