Single Din Install Trouble
 

Spent about 4 hours today trying to install a single din in my 05 RX8 with no luck. Color matched the wires, did everything I normally do and am only getting sound out of the subs the previous owner installed. It has the non-Bose system in it. This is the cd player and the harness I'm trying to install. Any help would be amazing.

Ok so I got that in today, and still nothing works except for the subs.

You sure it's the non-Bose system? Open the trunk and look up at the rear speakers. Over closer to the passenger side, you'll see the Bose amp.

Just saying it sounds like maybe you didn't connect the remote turn-on lead for the factory amp.

If that doesn't fix your problem, not much else I can help you with without actually being there and looking things over in person. Unless you live in central FL, I'd just recommend taking it to a professional.
