Side Marker/Indicator Question?

Does anyone know of a quick solution to change the side marker/indicator so that it is always on? At the moment my Rx8 has the side marker as an indicator only (I am in Aus). I am looking to change it to an always-on light like the driver light

Find where the side marker power wires run into the cabin of the car. (Follow them as far as you can, then just search for a matching color. Use multimeter to confirm) Cut them and run them to a 12V ignition source I would assume.
