Seat Installation Help
Hi all,
I'm going to change my damaged front driver side seat with another OEM one. This is my first time changing a seat so I'm not that sure. Question: - After unplugging the negative battery, should I keep the cable unplugged? Or should I attach it back (I'm going to take the seat up to my room for cleaning) Will it do anything bad to the ECU? Thanks |
Why on earth would you disconnect the neg Batt cable to change a seat??? I have swapped seats a dozen+ times for track weekends and never touched the Batt cables.

Yeah, airbag is my concern as well. Again, it's not a racing seat or aftermarket one, it's just simply an OEM swap. So what should I do here?

Ok so I would assume it's simply removing the bolts, taking off the harness and cable and swap it. I'll try it tomorrow, Thanks a lot

Disconnect the battery, then after that unhook all the harness connectors under the seat, after that its only 4 bolts holding the seat down. You'll prolly need an impact gun to take them off.
