Removing side vents?

Anyone have instructions on how to pop out the side Vents? I've found instructions for the middle vents, which involves removing the head unit.

Thanks,
BlackNoir

I believe you can just remove the inside fender well and push it out from the inside... Not very hard at all. I will try and get you some pics if needed. Just let me know...

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I meant the Interior Air Vents.. you know, the ones that blow that nice cool A/C at you.. but in my defense, this is the Interior forum, not Exterior.. :P

The shop manual says:

Driver's side:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the instrument cluster.

3. Remove the dashboard garnish.

4. Pull the driver-side demister grille outward and remove it.

5. Install in teh reverse order of removal.

Passenger's side:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the glove compartment.

3. Remove the passenger-side air bag module.

4. Pull the passenger-side demister grille outward and remove it.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Holy Crap! The instructions are thus for the TT.

1. Pull.
2. Install in the reverse order of removal.

I think I might skip this install after all.

No but obviously you are. I've worked on rotaries for a long time. Just never had to remove those and before attempting to do so and break them I asked a serious question. Not sure what your problem is but you should chill out. No need to be rude about everything. This forum on for people who own the cars to share information and knowledge.

im catholic too but we cant talk religion here

its simple remove the wheel liner, reach in behind the fender and squeez the tabs on the sides of the vent. im sure someone who has worked on rosaries for years could have just prayed for and answer tho

Auto correct. And thank you. All I wanted to know. Never removed them so I wasn't sure. Always been more on the mechanical side.
